The Gallery Bar offers a curated wine list selected by L'Art Du Vin, along with specialty Gins, Champagnes, and Whiskies. Note that Bonnar's is open Tuesday through Saturday; on Sunday and Monday evenings, guests may use the restaurant at the sister property, The Scholar, located next door.

Pet-Friendly Accommodations

Dogs are welcome at The Scott with prior notice and applicable charges - the hotel provides pet baskets and bowls. However, dogs cannot be left alone in guest bedrooms at any time. The gated grounds offer green spaces for walks, and the location at the foot of Arthur's Seat provides direct access to outdoor trails.

Location and Activities

The hotel sits within the gated University of Edinburgh campus, a 25-30 minute walk to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle, with bus stops directly outside. Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat are immediately accessible for hiking, and complimentary parking is available on site, along with an electric vehicle charging station. Guests receive complimentary access to two nearby gyms: Pleasance Sports Complex (20-minute walk) and Oxygen Fitness Studios (3-minute walk across the gardens).

Complimentary on-site parking is offered, along with street parking options, and the hotel has 24-hour security with key card access and smoke alarms. Breakfast was average with nothing special, and the food wasn't very hot. It didn't feel particularly fresh! car parking operates on a first come, first served basis, and i parked elsewhere.
